Why choose this restaurant?
The deli's chicken noodle soup was just the job when I was suffering with a cold. (After tasting it, I wasn't surprised to learn that over the years Canter's has sold 24 million bowls of chicken soup!) However, the serving was massive! I'm sure there was a whole chicken in it. I definitely could have shared it, which would have made it even cheaper.
About the deli
Canters is a Jewish deli. The original restaurant opened in New Jersey in the 1920s before moving to Los Angeles in 1931 where it’s become a real landmark. The Las Vegas branch opened in 2003.

When we were staying at TI we ate in the restaurant (which is casual) and also got takeaway. The great thing is that the deli is open all day and the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are available at any time so you can always get what you fancy.

What kind of food do they serve?
Along with the soup Canters is known for its sandwiches particularly the Canter's Fairfax which they stack with half a pound of corned beef and pastrami.
Should we book?
Like many others, we've always enjoyed the food which is why it can get busy. Once we queued for ages for some takeaway while some people in the line got fed up and gave up. We've always managed to get a table in the restaurant though for which no reservations are required.
