Hotel Casino Flamingo in Las Vegas
The Wildlife Habitat at the Casino Flamingo Hotel Las Vegas is one of the top
Las Vegas family attractions and it's free of charge.
It's
suitable for all ages and is a great place to go if you need to take some time out from the busy strip.
You can chill out and
reconnect with nature as you wander around the habitat.

What’s the Flamingo Habitat like?
On a sunny day it’s a great place to stroll around and watch the Chilean Flamingos who reside there. We've visited the Habitat late morning and which is often a pretty quiet time. At the Habitat you can watch experts feed the birds and give talks from the island about the animals at the Habitat.
The cost of visiting all the great attractions Las Vegas has to offer can really add to the cost of your trip. To help
keep costs down we usually get a
Las Vegas Power Pass With it you’ll have
access to over 20 attractions, tours, rides etc. The Power Pass is
worth more than $500 in admissions and discounts.

You learn interesting facts about flamingos from the talks. For example, do you know why flamingos are pink? Apparently it’s to do with the beta carotene in their diet. If you see a pale flamingo in the wild it usually means it’s malnourished. For more interesting facts about flamingos check out the talks for yourself!

Not only does the Habitat have flamingos but you’ll also spot swans, ducks, turtles and Koi. There are pretty twisting pathways, overhung with tropical greenery that you can follow, and opportunities to have your photo taken by the waterfall (see below.)

Bugsy’s Memorial
As you walk around the grounds you'll come across the memorial of Bugsy Siegel who owned the Hotel Casino Flamingo in Las Vegas when it opened in the 1940s and named it after his girlfriend, Virginia Hill, whose nickname was Flamingo.
Is it easy to find?
The Wildlife Habitat’s clearly signposted and easy to find. Just walk straight through the lobby and casino at the Casino Flamingo Hotel Las Vegas to the grounds. You won’t be able to miss it.
