About Planet Hollywood
The time I stayed at the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas with my friend Chris was the first time I got a free room upgrade. I didn't get one on my honeymoon at the
Luxor
- and no, my wife, Victoria, was not impressed when I told her about it!
As seen on screen
The Resort is really modern, which you’d expect as it only opened in 2007, replacing the Aladdin Hotel Las Vegas Nevada where Elvis and Pricilla got married. And on the marriage theme, if you’ve seen the romantic comedy What Happens in Vegas you’ll recognise this as the place Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher’s characters stay at and get married.
If you want to bring along your pet to the Planet Hollywood Vegas it will be welcomed as this hotel is now operating the PetStay progaramme.

Sleeping
The room we had was brilliant (excuse the mess!)It was a Resort room so we had a fair amount of space, two large double beds, a 42 inch plasma TV and a really big bathroom with two sinks.

If you'd like to be more self-sufficient on your break you also have the option of staying in one of the Las Vegas Suites at
Planet Hollywood Towers
which is part of the Planet Hollywood Resort Las Vegas. The condos are fitted with kitchens so you can do your own cooking.
Eating
There are nine places to eat in the resort. A couple are fine dining such as celeb favourite KOI, the Japanese restaurant which serves first-rate sushi and renowned steakhouse, Strip House whose menu was put together by Executive Chef John Schenk.
The rest of the eateries are casual and include: Earl Of Sandwich; P.F. Chang's; Pink's Hot Dogs; Planet Dailies; Spice Market Buffet; Starbucks; and Yolos.
On this trip we stuck with casual and regularly ate at the
Earl of Sandwich
which serve the most amazing hot sandwiches I've ever tasted and the
Spice Market Buffet
which has the well deserved reputation of being one of the best buffets on the Strip.
You can get different food from all over the world there including American, Mexican, Italian, Middle Eastern and Asian.
As the
Planet Hollywood restaurant
predates the resort it can still be found inside
Caesar’s Palace.
Entertainment
The Planet Hollywood Resort joins on to the
Miracle Mile Shops
which span over a mile (clue in the name!) Just walking around the 170 shops will give you a good workout. (Honest!)

And after all that exercise you can relax by the pool. The resort has two pools and if you’re there on a Friday or Saturday afternoon you can listen to the music playing in the area.
If you're after some greater relaxation head over to the Planet Hollywood Spa by Mandara which is renowned for its Hawaiian wave fourhanded massage.
A show on our 'to see' list is Holly Madison's Peep Show. If topless burlesque's not your thing check out the V Theater for comedy shows, variety shows etc.
