About the Casino Hotel Tropicana in Vegas
The Tropicana Casino in Las Vegas was built in 1957 with further towers added in 1979 and 1986. In 2010 phase one of an extensive refurbishment programme was completed to give the hotel an up to date South Beach vibe.
We were first lured into the casino with vouchers for free cocktails which weren't bad... If gambling’s a priority then pop along to the recently revamped casino, which has a variety of games to play from Blackjack to fruit machines.
The extensive refurbishment commenced soon after the Tropicana Hotel in Vegas was purchased by the Onex Corporation. Gaming executive Alex Yemenidjian led the rejuvenation of the hotel to change it into a Miami-themed resort and the changes seem to be going down extrememly well with visitors. In 2010 Travelscream named the Tropicana one of its Top 10 Sin City Hotels.

Despite being named Best Sin City Pool it's still reasonable to rent a Cabana at $50 a day (on weekdays) and that price includes six non-alcoholic drinks and a fruit basket.
