About Cosmopolitan Hotel Las Vegas
The Cosmopolitan Hotel Las Vegas opened in December 2010 and immediately it became one of the most luxurious 'B grade' hotels on the Strip with 4 diamond status.
This boutique-style resort which consists of two 50-story towers and nearly 3,000 suites and rooms cost $3.9 billion to build. The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas is in the centre of the action next to the
Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas
on the Strip.
CEO of the Cosmopolitan, John Unwin said of the Las Vegas Cosmopolitan, “The Cosmopolitan is about creating a resort experience set apart from anything that exists right now in Las Vegas.
"When you combine spacious suites, high design from talent like David Rockwell, a carefully curated award-winning dining collection, unparalleled service and gaming, we know guests will enjoy an experience that harkens back to an era when guests felt connected, inspired and engaged by their resort."
Sleeping
It seems that each new hotel that goes up in Las Vegas offers even more spacious rooms than the one before and that’s certainly true of the Las Vegas Cosmopolitan. Although the rooms themselves are average for Vegas at 460 sq ft the suites range from 730 sq ft to 5,400 sq ft. The resort also offers some bungalow suites.
If you’re trying to decide whether to go for a room or a suite, the City rooms are urban-inspired and luxurious including two queen size beds; a large marble-floor bathroom; wireless internet and a flat screen TV. All rooms feature climate control and iPod plugin facilities.
Whereas the Terrace studio suites are 620 square ft and include large private terraces. They also feature kitchenettes with microwaves and refrigerators.
The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas runs a conservation programme so guests can choose to have room lighting and temperature pre-set for eco-efficiency.
Eating
There’s an impressive collection of restaurants within the Las Vegas Cosmopolitan:
Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill; China Poblano (Chinese and Mexican cuisine); Comme Ca (French brasserie); D.O.C.G (Italian wine bar); Estiatorio Milos (fine Greek cuisine); Holsteins (speciality burgers); Jaleo (Spanish tapas); Overlook Grill (American cuisine); Scarpetta (Italian cuisine); STK (steakhouse); The Henry (Strip cuisine); Va Bene Caffe (Italian cafe bar); and Wicked Spoon Buffet.
Entertainment
Even though the Cosmopolitan is right in the heart of the action on the Strip which boasts numerous
restaurants,
shopping
malls
and
entertainment
options there’s actually plenty to do within the resort itself.
You’ll find a diverse collection of boutiques that you can meander around such as AllSaints Spitalfields; Droog; and Molly Brown’s Swimwear.
There’s no need to let your fitness regime slip while you’re staying at the Cosmopolitan as they have a state-of-the-art fitness center which offers exercise classes and personal training sessions. After all that exercise relax in the steam rooms at the Sahra Spa or head to one of the pools.
That’s right, there’s not just one pool but three at the resort so you can go where the mood takes you: to the Boulevard pool which overlooks the Strip; the secluded Bamboo pool; or the vibrant Day Club pool.
And the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas has plenty of nightlife to offer with the following: Chandelier; Vesper Bar (serving James Bond inspired cocktails); Book & Stage (Sports book and entertainment venue); Bond (house music); Queue Bar; and the impressive Marquee Nightclub (created by the Tao group.)
