About the Encore Las Vegas
At first glance the Encore Las Vegas looks like an echo of the Wynn, set just behind it; a notion strengthened by its name. In fact the original plan was for the Encore to be an extension of the Wynn – a second tower but it quickly developed into a resort in its own right and one of the best hotels in Las Vegas.
No expense has been spared inside the Encore Las Vegas which is just as magnificent as the
Wynn Hotel in Vegas.
It incorporates an Asian theme featuring the colour red, which is a lucky colour in China; so it's perfect for gamblers.
Sleeping and Eating
The rooms in the Encore hotel are especially spacious and comfortable and the bathrooms are fit for royalty. If you stay here you might never want to venture out! One of the benefits of the location is the great views of the surrounding mountains and the Strip. Depending on where your room is you could get to see both - some offer panoramic views.
The Wynn and the Encore share their resources so you won’t have to go far to eat. Between them there are lots of restaurants to choose from. To name just a few in the Encore at the Wynn Las Vegas: For Asian cuisine visit Wazuzu; for French cuisine eat at Switch; and if you fancy chowing down on some proper meat check out Botero Steak.
As you’d expect you won’t find anywhere for a cheap bite (or cheap anything for that matter) within the resort but you don’t have to
far along the Las Vegas Strip to find a selection of
lower priced eateries.
There are plenty of fabulous opportunities to go shopping in Vegas and the Encore hotel presents yet another with its swish cascade of shops, known as the
which joins on to the Wynn Resort allowing you to walk between the first class resorts.
We saw a lot of couples in the hotel, many of whom were well dressed. Although we were dressed fairly casually we didn’t feel uncomfortable in the public areas, although we weren’t eating in any of the restaurants, just visiting the shops and casino. That's one of the good things about Sin City.
The casino is different from the others on the Strip in that it’s separated into four areas which are then divided into smaller areas. If you like a little more seclusion when you’re gambling this casino is a must!
The Encore Theater has already played host to some impressive acts such as Beyonce and Garth Brooks which bodes well for the future.
The first Garth Brooks tickets sold out superfast, in just a matter of hours, so if there's a concert you're dying to see, head over to the Wynn box office on the actual day you want to see the show as they often have unclaimed and returned tickets on sale for performances that night.
Go from day to night seamlessly by soaking up some rays at the Encore Beach Club, followed by dinner at SWITCH and dancing at Surrender. (Don't be surprised if you run in to a celebrity or two while you're boogying away; Rhianna for one likes to party here!)
Apart from Surrender there’s plenty of nightlife at the Encore with Blush a boutique nightclub and the popular Club XS. You’ll need to dress up to dance the night away at Tryst but it’s well worth it boasting a dance floor that opens up to the outdoors with fabulous views of the breathtaking waterfall. Vegas knows how to do nightclubs!
