The Bellagio Fountains are one of the Las Vegas top attractions and not surprisingly were number one on our list of things to do on our first trip to Sin City. (Check out our slightly shaky video of the show.)
As seen on screen
We’d recently seen Ocean’s Eleven and had the last scene of the film firmly fixed in our minds. You know the one where George Clooney, Brad Pitt and the rest of the characters are standing in front of the Bellagio’s dancing fountains which are synchronized to the music, Claire de Lune.
The cost of visiting all the great attractions Las Vegas has to offer can really add to the cost of your trip. To help keep costs down we usually get a Las Vegas Power Pass
With it you’ll have access to over 20 attractions, tours, rides etc. The Power Pass is worth more than $500 in admissions and discounts.
What are the fountains like?
When you hold a strong image of what something will be like there’s a real danger it won’t live up to your expectations but the Fountains at the Bellagio do. They’re more beautiful than we could have imagined and best of all the performances are free.
Because there's a number of different performances you can keep coming back to watch the fountains without tiring of them at all. We always make sure we catch a show when we're in the desert city and have enjoyed many performances set to different music: opera, classical and songs from Broadway shows and they're all fabulous!
The fountains are housed in a fresh water, man made, nine-acre lake which in itself is impressive.
Where's best to watch the show from?
You can experience the performances from different places up and down the Strip. We’ve stood in front of the lake at the Bellagio Hotel Vegas watching the carefully choreographed light and music show...
... And we’ve watched with an aerial view from the
Paris hotel
Another good place to watch the shows from is the
Mon Ami Gabi
restaurant.
Because the shows are on so frequently you can easily schedule them into your day... or night.
