Las Vegas Steakhouse - Prime at the Bellagio Hotel Vegas

Prime Steakhouse - Las Vegas Restaurant Review by Shaun Moggan

How much did it cost to eat at Prime Steakhouse?

I was lucky enough to be able to visit Prime Steakhouse during Spring Restaurant Week. This meant they had laid on a very reasonably-priced set menu of which I duly took advantage. A three-course meal, including Filet Mignon, in a top class Vegas Steakhouse for $50 is a bargain in my view. Wine pairings were an additional $20 which was something I couldn't say no to.

Where is Prime Steakhouse?

The restaurant is located in the shopping promenade of the Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas, just a short walk from the casino floor.

What is the restaurant like?

The decor of the restaurant is suitably refined and elegant and the service from the staff, very attentive. I was seated with a good view of the magnificent Las Vegas Fountains of Bellagio.

I saw at least three fountain shows during my meal and it was a magical experience; the whole restaurant lit up from the white light of the dancing fountains.

What’s the food like at Prime Steakhouse?

My meal was delicious. A starter of roasted beets and goats’ cheese (plus a few other things) was mouth watering and just right in terms of setting me up for my main course of filet mignon with bone marrow fritter with parsnip purée and Brussels sprouts.

I have to say the fritter was an acquired taste and I'm not sure I acquired it but the steak was melt in the mouth gorgeous and was cooked to perfection. The dessert was a chocolate molten cake with vanilla bean ice cream. This was a wondrous creation and a great way to finish the meal. I enjoyed my meal so much I went back again two days later.

I’m sure if you eat here like me you’ll want to keep going back again... and again... and again...
