Weather for New Year's Eve in Las Vegas

If you’re heading to Las Vegas for New Year you can expect temperature lows of 39°F and highs of 57°F. It does sometimes snow in Las Vegas but it doesn’t usually settle. This is good news if you plan to spend the night celebrating outside and watching fireworks. Just make sure you have some extra layers as it may be chilly once the sun goes down.

At any time of the year Sin City is one of the greatest places in the world in which to let your hair down so for New Year's Eve in Las Vegas, as you can imagine, this goes double. Expect to find yourself at some of the best parties.

Spectacular firework displays are an integral part of New Year’s celebrations across the world. They usually form part of our New Year’s Eve. We've stood in the cold with the crowds on London’s Embankment and watched from the comfort of our home on television. If you’re hoping to weave some fireworks into your evening then you might want to head over to the Fremont Street Experience’s Downtown Countdown New Year’s 2013.

If you make it to this celebration you won’t be bored. The New Year’s Eve street party kicks off at 6pm on 31st December and goes on until 3am. Buckcherry and Queensryche will be headlining and there will be a number of other special guests and popular bands.

Here’s what the president of the Fremont Street Experience, Jeff Victor, has to say about the do, "Fremont Street Experience's Downtown Countdown is the place to be for people who want to party throughout the holiday weekend.

"This year, in addition to the great tribute bands that perform in our annual Tribute Palooza, we've brought in a fabulous lineup of headliners and some of Las Vegas' favorite local acts to help rock the audience into the new year."

New Year's Eve Las Vegas

New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas is one of those nights when Sin City is packed with even more stars than usual. This is a great night to hit the clubs but bear in mind that ticket prices go up/ sell out the closer you get to New Year’s Eve, so buy as far in advance if you can.

If you’re looking for New Year’s Eve party ideas finding out who’s where might help you decide where you want to go. Here are some of the highlights:

  • DJ Benny Benassi will be at Marquee, which is one of the newer night clubs in Las Vegas which you can find it at the Cosmopolitan hotel.
  • At Moon night club, which is at the Palms hotel, you’ll find Questlove, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Iggy Azelea, and Wynter Gordon.
  • If you’re an Ice-T and Co Co fan you’ll want to hit up LAX night club, which is at the Luxor hotel.
  • Believe that Starships were meant to fly? Then visit Pure night club at the fabulous Caesars Palace and ring in the New Year with Nicki Minaj.
  • Head to the Venetian hotel to see J.Cole at Tao night club.
  • In the neighbouring Palazzo hotel you’ll find Brandy at Lavo.
  • If you visit the Mirage hotel you can either see Lloyd at the Revolution Lounge or Kim Kardashian at 1 OAK nightclub.
  • The Encore hotel will be welcoming Avicii at XS and Call on Me Eric Prydz at Surrender.
  • Just across the way, Lil Jon will be at Tryst at the Wynn hotel.
