About the Hotel Rio Las Vegas
The Rio Casino Las Vegas NV is an off the Strip hotel in Vegas with a difference. Instead of rooms it contains only spacious suites which start at 600 square feet.
The hotel opened in 1990 and is a distinctive purple and red building named after the Brazilian city Rio de Janeiro. It’s possible to get a suite at the Rio Hotel Vegas from $55 a night, depending when you visit. And there’s a regular shuttle service to the Strip.
Sleeping
If extra space is important to you, or you’d like to
bring your pet with you, it’s worth thinking about staying at the Rio in Las Vegas, even though it’s a little way off LV Bouleveard.
In a standard suite you’ll find beautiful panoramic views, lounge, dressing area, and a refrigerator.
If you can afford to push the boat out and stay in one of the Masquerade suites you’ll also have a dining room featuring a wet bar, a Jacuzzi tub, and an impressive sound system.
Eating
There are plenty of places to eat at the Rio Hotel Las Vegas NV. These include:
the All-American Bar & Grille (good for a quick bite); Búzios Seafood Restaurant (traditional New England seafood); Martorano's (great meatballs); the Rio Buffet Las Vegas aka the Carnival World Buffet (one of the best in Sin City with over 300 varieties of food); Gaylord India Restaurant (serves Northern Indian cuisine such as Tandoori) ; Janelas (enjoy American cuisine while overlooking the golf course); Mah Jong (Chinese noodle bar); McFadden's< (Irish pub); São Paulo Cafe (great desserts); Sports Deli; Starbucks Coffee; Village Seafood Buffet (only Sin City buffet that serves seafood all the time); VooDoo Steak & Lounge (on 50th and 51st floors of the Masquerade tower with amazing views); grab a burger at the Whopper Bar; Wine Cellar & Tasting Room (perfect for wine connoisseurs offering 100 varieties of wine by the glass.)

Entertainment
There’s absolutely no way you can get bored at the Rio Hotel Las Vegas Nevada which has shows such as Penn & Teller; Brazil’s Carnival Show, the Show in the Sky (which is free); and the Chippendales.
Nightlife is also pretty good with a choice of two lounges: VooDoo and Flirt and the Crown nightclub.
In the summertime soak up the rays at VooDoo beach which features four pools, five Jacuzzis and real sand. Enjoy a cocktail or two from the Cruzan Cabana or Island bar and a poolside massage while you relax and listen to the music.
If it’s not so sunny when you go pamper yourself in the spa or take a wander around the Rio Masquerade Village Shops where you can buy children’s toys, souvenirs, jewellery etc.
If you fancy a permanent souvenir of your trip to Vegas then head over to the VNI tattoo studio belonging to Motley Crue’s Vince Neil. There’s also lots of heavy metal memorabilia to check out here.
