About Treasure Island in Las Vegas

There’s quite a young, fun atmosphere at Treasure Island Las Vegas NV following its renovation in 2003 to make it more of a playground for adults rather than a family friendly resort, which was its original aim when it opened in 1993.

Sleeping and Eating

Check in was fast and the price of a room at this AAA four diamond rated hotel is really good value. We stayed in a Deluxe room which was really modern and spacious (approx 400 sq ft) with a really comfortable king size bed, flat screen TV, desk and chair, lounge area and a clock radio by the side of the bed where we could dock our ipods.

The bathroom was marble and a good size with a large bath tub stocked with a range of toiletries.

There's a whole host of restaurants at TI. For fine dining head to: Asian Bistro, Khotan (watch out for 2 for 1 cocktail vouchers for the restaurant); Phil's Italian Steakhouse (note - it's best to make a reservation); or the Isla Mexican Kitchen (known for their great margaritas.)

There are also plenty of casual dining options in TI such as Gilley's BBQ; Pizzeria Francesco's; Kahunaville; Canter's Deili; The Buffet; The Coffee Shop; and Pho - Vietnamese.

We ate at the buffet which had a wide range of food and Canter’s Deli (which serves huge portions). The prices at both are really reasonable.

Entertainment

Music blasts around the tropical pool area where there’s a large hot tub you can relax in with your drinks from the bar (which aren’t cheap) if you choose.

Whether you’re staying at the Treasure Island in Las Vegas or just visiting stop off at one of the free Sirens of TI shows (aimed at adults) which take place outside the hotel every night and watch as the sirens lure a group of pirates to their cove.

If you're after a speciality cocktail look no further than one of the TI Las Vegas lounges such as the Kahunaville Party Bar; Isla Tequila Bar; Breeze Bar or patio bar Sirens Sip.

If, like us, you love to shop you only have to walk across the pedestrian bridge to find yourself at the Fashion Show Mall which has a fantastic range of stores and restaurants.
