Bellagio – A Fantastically Different Experience

by Carol
(UK)

We stayed in a front facing room at the Bellagio which meant that we saw the fountains every time we were in our room, even though we couldn't hear the music. The first time I saw the view from our room at night with the Eiffel Tower right outside our window and the lights of the Strip I felt as though I was watching a film not experiencing it.

Considering the fact that I don't like the heat and it was 116 degrees when we were there, I found it very easy to cope as most of the sight seeing in Vegas is indoors. However, we enjoyed some fresh air before our sight seeing day started by going to the shadiest corner of the hotel pool with our Starbucks coffee and yogurt/fruit/granola brekkie and stay there until the sun reached my big toe - then fully relaxed we were off for another great day.

The Bellagio is in a central location and we were easily able to visit Caesars Palace which we were very impressed with and loved seeing the ‘town’ with the replica of the Trevi Fountain and sitting ‘outside’ the Italian restaurants for a meal. England could really do with some towns like this where the weather is always predictable! We were also within easy walking distance of the Venetian hotel with St Mark's Square which was also unbelievable.

Las Vegas - we would say that it is unbelievably larger than life and a fantastically different experience. It is a grown ups Disneyland!
